Minimum stay

Een verblijf in MH is minimaal 3 nachten. In de praktijk blijkt dit vaak te kort om de streek goed te ontdekken. 

Good mood

We request a good mood when you stay in MH (and this is not a joke). 

Arrival & departure

Check in between 5 - 7 pm
Check out until 11 am

Breakfast

Every morning between 9 - 11 am
Breakfast is included in the roomrate.
Breakfast takes place around 1 large table

Rooms only accessible via a staircase without railing

Our guestrooms are on the first floor via a staircase with no railing.
Our house dates back to 1731. Mind your step.
Are you no good in walking the stairs and are you 15 years of age or younger? We are sorry to stay you cannot stay at MH.

Adults only

MH is unfortunately not suited for young children or babies. We focus on adults and adolescents as of 16 years and older.
We ask for your understanding in this.

No pets

We love most dogs, but for hygienic reasons we cannot allow them in MH

Do NOT bring your own food & drinks

Bringing your own food and drinks is not allowed in MH for many reasons. Except water of course.
We have a small honesty bar and friendly prices. 
A cool box in your room is not allowed. Again, for many reasons.

No smoking policy (inside MH)

In MH smoking is not allowed anywhere. There are smoke alarms everywhere. Outside on the terrace smoking is allowed. We have ashtrays. We would like to keep the rest of the garden free of cigarettes.....

Shopping

Almost everything is for sale in MH! Ask your hostess for possibilities and prices for books, antiques, tableware and other items.

Parking

Parking in front of MH is safe and free of charge.

Telephone reception

We have a good wifi and 4G reception in and around the house.
We have fast chargers for you mobile phone in all rooms and in the guest kitchen.
Mobile phones nor tablets are on our menus....we like to talk to each other.

Environmental vignet

Om door de grote steden van Frankrijk te mogen rijden (en dit zal zich steeds verder uitbreiden) zijn milieu vignetten verplicht. Dit dient u ruim van tevoren te doen.

Environmentally conscious

We hold towards an environmental friendly policy towards changing bedlinen and towels, electricty and food. Let's help save the planet and avoid waste. You will find more info in your room.

Charging stations

In Valognes (5 km from Hémevez) you will find several charging stations for you electric car.

Bikes, scooters, motors and e-bikes

Your bikes, motorcycles and e-bikes are safe with us. Charging of e-bikes will be done together with us. Please do not charge or leave your batteries in your room. 

Piano

Wij hebben een Yamaha piano in de grote salon. Gasten die goed kunnen spelen (!) moedigen wij aan tijdens hun verblijf in overleg met andere gasten hierop te spelen.

French rules & regulations

We run our b&b follwoing French and European rules & regulations
We have smoke alarms and fire distinguishers as well as the necessary insurances.
We do not serve nor sell alcohol to minors.
We welcome adolescents as of 16 years (max. 2 per stay) but only together with their parents.
We are registered at the Chambre of Commerce in Cherbourg and at the small townhall of our village Hemevez
Wij hebben een Permis d’Exploitation en een attestation Hygiène d’Alimentaire.

We forward the tourist tax monthly to the concerned department in Cotentin.
We ask for a downpayment of 50% by bank only.
We accept payments (upon departure) in euros only (by bankcard or in cash). 
We have a french accountant
We are liable to VAT and we pay tax in France.
