Minimum stay in MH is 3 nights. 

Good mood

We request a good mood when you stay in MH (and this is not a joke). 

Arrival & departure

Check in between 5 - 8 pm
Check out until 10.30am (Sundays untill 11.30am)

Breakfast

Breakfast from 08.30 – 10.00 am
(weekends and bank holidays from 09 – 10.30 am)
Breakfast is included in the roomrate.
Breakfast at one large table (hence the good mood!).

Dinner

Dinner as of around 7.30pm
(upon reservation only)
You will receive more information and rates upon your reservation.
Dinner is being served at one large table.

We do not cook daily for our guests. There are too many nice restaurants in the area you should try as well!

Rooms only accessible via a staircase without railing

Our guestrooms are on the first floor via a staircase with no railing.
Our house dates back to 1731. Mind your step.
Are you no good in walking the stairs and are you 15 years of age or younger? We are sorry to stay you cannot stay at MH.

Adults only

MH is unfortunately not suited for young children or babies. We focus on adults and adolescents as of 16 years and older.
We ask for your understanding in this.

No pets

We love most dogs, but for hygienic reasons we cannot allow them in MH

Do NOT bring your own food & drinks

Bringing your own food & drinks is not allowed in MH.
We have a small honesty bar with sympathetic prices. From 5pm you can make use of this. Please note we are not a local bar.
We also have a coffeecorner which you can use all day (paid).
We do not have a guest refrigerator. (Electric) cooling boxes are not allowed in our house. Please respect this small house rule. 

No smoking policy (inside MH)

In MH smoking is not allowed anywhere. There are smoke alarms everywhere. Outside on the terrace smoking is allowed. We have ashtrays. We would like to keep the rest of the garden free of cigarettes.....

Shopping

Almost everything is for sale in MH! Ask your hostess for possibilities and prices for books, antiques, tableware and other items.

Parking

Parking in front of MH is safe and free of charge.

Telephone reception

We have a good wifi and 4G reception in and around the house.
We have fast chargers for you mobile phone in all rooms and in the guest kitchen.
Mobile phones nor tablets are on our menus....we like to talk to each other.

Environmental vignet

Please make sure you have the proper environmental vignet should you cross the larger cities of France.

Environmentally conscious

We hold towards an environmental friendly policy towards changing bedlinen and towels, electricty and food. Let's help save the planet and avoid waste. You will find more info in your room.

Bikes, scooters and e-bikes

Your bikes, scooters and e-bikes are safe with us. We arrange for charging the batteries for you at € 5 per stay.

Piano

We have a nice electric Yamaha piano in our guest area, We invite guests who play well (!) to entertain us and other guests during their stay.

French rules & regulations

We run our b&b follwoing French and European rules & regulations
We have smoke alarms and fire distinguishers as well as the necessary insurances.
We do not serve nor sell alcohol to minors.
We welcome adolescents as of 16 years (max. 2 per stay) but only together with their parents.
We are registered at the Chambre of Commerce in Cherbourg and at the small townhall of our village Hemevez
We have a permit to serve food and a license to serve alcohol.
In regards to French law we serve our evening meals only to guests from MH seated around the same table. We serve local products as much as we can.
We forward the tourist tax monthly to the concerned department in Cotentin.
We ask for a downpayment of 50% by bank only.
We accept cash payments in euros only or payment with credit card. You will receive a final invoice by email upon departure.
We have a french accountant
We are liable to VAT and we pay tax in France.
